General Product Troubleshoot Guide
No matter what I do, my warning light bar system continues to burn out my fuse.
In most cases, your ground wire or your positive connection wire has not been installed correctly. When a fuse is continuously malfunctioning, either the ground wire or the positive wire is touching. Please carefully check all wiring to ensure that there is no open cuts and has been properly installed.
One of my LED light is not turning on.
Generally, LED chips do not burn out like traditional light bulbs. The life-expectancy of LED chips are generally 30,000+ hours of use. For an example, if your LED light is to be turned on for 24 hours a day and never turned off, it will likely quit after 3 and a half years later. The LED light from the chip slowly diminishes exposing lighting rather than burning out. If one LED is not working please try the following. If you are able to access the back side of the LED chip panel, try looking for loose ends that are not connected. You can simply fix this by soldering the loose end
How do I connect the power to my warning lights?
All products come with a +Positive (RED) and -Negative (BLACK) power wires. In order to connect the wires to receive power from your vehicle, you must connect the +Positive (RED) to a 12V battery source. Acceptable sources would be to connect the +Positive (RED) wire to the battery terminal +Positive connection direct or to a fuse (10 Amps should be sufficient) located inside your vehicle. The -Negative (BLACK) wire MUST be connected to any Ground source such as the battery terminal -Negative connection direct or to a metal surface on your vehicle. We strongly recommend professional installation. All products with control units are connected to the main wires by connecting the jacks located on the control unit and the main power wires.
What is the power source for all light bars and arrow boards?
All VOLTEX light bars and arrow boards require a 12V power source. Should you require a connection to a 24V power source, you MUST acquire a 24V to 12V power transformer in your vehicle. A direct connection to a 24V power source will burn out everything on the warning lights. Please consult with a vehicle electrician for more information.
How do I install the mounting brackets on to the light bar?
All light bars sized 40 inches and above includes a roof top mountable mounting bracket. Follow instructions provided. When putting the bracket parts together to install on your vehicles roof top, it is strongly recommended that you use a metal glue adhesive (i.e. Loctite etc...) to ensure a more stable installation of your light bar.
I want to install the light bar on a customized mounting frame.
Using the base foot of your light bar, you can install the light bar onto a customized mounting frame by drilling holes on the base footing. Please seek professional installation if you are not sure.
One of my LED head is not working.
99.9% of the time, the connecting wire on the rear of the LED head has disconnected. LED's have a general lifespan of 30,000 ~ 50,000 hours of use. This would translate into 4 ~ 6 years of lifespan if you were to leave the lights on constantly without ever turning it off. To fix it, just unscrew the LED head from its place and check the wiring connection. If indeed the wires have come off, simply re-solder the wires back in place.
If the wires are still connected and the LED head is not turning on, the main PCU or the plate that holds the LED's in place may have gone bad. Please contact us for a replacement part which are readily available for a nominal fee. If still under warranty, we will replace it free of charge. Must provide proof.

My electronic control unit is not corresponding to the patterns of the light bar.
Generally, we recommend unplugging your control unit for 30 minutes to provide ample time for a complete reset of the control unit. Disconnect the control unit from the main power source for 30 minutes and reconnect. Try the controller again. If the controller persists with none correspondence, please contact us for a replacement part which are readily available for a nominal fee. If still under warranty, we will replace it free of charge. Must provide proof.
My light bar has a dim light even after I turned it off.
Please disconnect the power wires from the main power source and find an alternative power source for the wires. As LED's uses very minimal energy, it can be the case that the original power source of the connection can be set too high.
The power does not turn on my light bar and the control unit.
All light bars and arrow boards come with additional fuse connectors for reinforced added safety measures. If the power is completely out, please double check all the fuses connected to the light bar or arrow board. If indeed the fuse is blown, please replace the fuse with the same amperage rating fuse as the original fuse.
If the fuse continues to blow out, you are most likely having problems with wiring issues. If this is the case, please disconnect all wires and reconnect ensuring the positive wires are not touching any type of ground source.
If it is not a fuse issue, please make sure all the wires are properly connected for the positive and negative. A disconnected wire will cut off total power.

Digital Control Boxes with LED Display Indicators
The control unit is displaying a different pattern to that of what is actually displaying.
Try dis-connecting the power as well as the controller connection wire. Wait about 10 minutes to allow excess electricity currrent to naturally release itself. Then re-connect all wires.
My controller is on but my warning light system is not turning on.
Please ensure that all connecting wires are properly connected and installed.
Full-Size and Mini-Size LED Lightbars
How do I adjust the base footing of my light bar?
On the bottom of your light bar, there should be bolts connecting the light bar and the base footing. Loosen the bolts and slide to your desired setting. The tighten the bold securely back in place.
My light bar has some additional holes on the bottom. Will this create a problem such as water getting inside?
No. The additional holes on the bottom of your light bar is placed for a purpose. It is to block condensation of the light bar on the inside. All LED heads are water resistant for maximum performance.
Can I connect two products using one control unit?
No. Each light bar is custom programmed to deliver certain flash patterns.
I need to extend the wires for proper placement.
As long as you are confident in working with electrical wires, simply add additional length of wires and ensure that the added area is re-soldered for strong connection and wrapped with proper electrical tape.
I want to replace the colors of my light bar.
Simply contact us to purchase parts.
Halogen Lightbars
One of the bulbs is out. Where can I purchase a spare bulb?
Bulbs halogen light bars can be easily found at your local hardware store or by contacting us.
One of the motor has gone bad.
Please contact us for a replacement motor.
When I turn on all available lights, the light bar seems to slow down.
Please check your battery for available power. Consider replacing your battery. Alternatively, try connecting the main positive wire to a strong amperage fuse. DO NOT replace the original fuse on the light bar to a stronger one.
Arrow Boards
The power does not seem to perform too well.
All arrow boards with actuator kits pre-installed are recommended to be connect to power connection ratings between 11.0Vdc - 14..0Vdc. Some models with dual actuators require a slightly higher voltage connection. Not to exceed 14.8Vdc.
My power actuator is not working.
Please check your connections and all fuses.
One of my LED light is not working.
Please check the rear of the LED on the arrow board for proper connection. If one of the wire is disconnected, please re-solder the connection back in place.
I want to know how I can install my arrow board.
Most of our arrow boards are assembled and delivered to you. However, based on the model you have purchased, you may need to have a professional install additional mounting kits to your specific vehicle. All of our arrow boards are PLUG-N-PLAY ready. Just connect the right power and ground lines and your set to go.
